You can also disallow users from entering sales order lines for these items and\/or alternate units.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.produceinventory.com\/web-pics.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3138\" src=\"https:\/\/www.produceinventory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/11\/bigstock-Farmer-Man-Holding-Wooden-Box-469451661.jpg\" alt=\"fresh produce\" width=\"900\" height=\"599\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s how:<\/p>\n<p>a) To control which items the customer can purchase, go to the Customer Prices screen (File menu, Setup, Customer Setup, Customer Prices) and make sure that there is a record for every item you want the customer to be able to purchase. Make sure these records have the &#8220;Allow sale of this item&#8221; checkbox checked. If you uncheck this, and follow step c) below, they will not be able to purchase this item.<\/p>\n<p>b) To control which alternate units the customer can purchase, go to the Customer\/Stock Units screen (File menu, Setup, Customer Setup, Customer\/Stock Units) and make sure that there is a record for every item\/unit you want the customer to be able to purchase. Further, make sure these records have the &#8220;Allow sale of this item&#8221; checkbox checked.
