Produce Inventory Control System software (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.produceinventory.com\/produce-inventory-control-system.html\">PICS<\/a>) has all the features you\u2019re looking for and grows with you. And we are continuously improving and enhancing PICS. Last month we made PICS even better by adding the receipt description to the Customer History inquiry, for the rows which came from receipts. Another recent enhancement is the Product Chooser Screen. Here are some delightful details:<\/p>\n<h2>Product Chooser<\/h2>\n<p>The Product Chooser Screen is a new tool only available in PICS 3.0 which allows for quick sales order entries. It displays only items which have a Customer Prices record. These records are normally created when a product is sold to a customer, but can also be added manually. To use this screen, simply start a new sales order, choose a customer and then click the &#8220;P.C.&#8221; button. Once the screen below comes up, type in the quantity ordered for each stock item, optionally choose a unit, and optionally override the price, and then click on Save. A Sales Order line will be generated for each item you put in a quantity for.<\/p>\n<p>This feature is enabled by default in the Sales Order screen (see above for how to bring it up). Note that there is a system control which can be set to make it come up automatically. To enable that, go to the System Controls screen, go to the record for Selling General &#8211; Launch Product Chooser, and set it to Y.<\/p>\n<p>Note that this can only be done when you add a sales order. You cannot bring this screen back up when editing (but we are considering enhancing it to do that, so if you need that, please let us know).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/produceinventory.com\/produce-inventory-control-system.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3475\" src=\"https:\/\/www.produceinventory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/06\/Product-Chooser-1-1024x795.png\" alt=\"Product Chooser Screen 1 in PICS \" width=\"1024\" height=\"795\" \/><\/a><strong>Cust No<\/strong> &#8211; displays the customer number<\/p>\n<p><strong>Customer<\/strong> &#8211; displays the customer name and address<\/p>\n<p><strong>Show Products<\/strong> &#8211; this is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.produceinventory.com\/blog\/is-there-a-wildcard-search-feature-in-pics\/2025\/03\/04\/\">wildcard feature search field<\/a> which will limit the product list for the search string typed.
