Produce Inventory Control System (PICS) software, created by WaudWare, no longer calculates customer balances “on the fly”. Now, they are calculated whenever a transaction is made which affects their balance (Accounts Receivable A\/R Voucher is made, Accounts Receivable A\/R Receipt is made, etc.).<\/p>\n
The reason for this is to speed up the retrieval of customer balance information when doing credit checking, and when moving from customer to customer in the customer screen. Because of this, the time to save a voucher and receipt might be slightly longer.<\/p>\n
This was a major change, affecting dozens of programs. We believe we have handled everything properly, and that there shouldn’t be any significant impact on users. That being said, it is not possible to test every case against the data at all our customers. So if you have any concerns \u00a0(i.e. some routines take longer than they used to), please let us know!<\/p>\n
