Save the date: Virtual Farm to Plate Event
Mark your calendars!
The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) and Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC) are planning the next virtual advocacy event for May 31 and June 1, 2021.
Farm to Plate 2021 will bring together industry participants from across the country to engage with Parliamentarians and officials about the issues that are important to the fresh produce sector.
Building on the success of the virtual Fall Harvest event last November, the virtual Farm to Plate event will offer all the elements attendees are accustomed to from in-person events, including issue overviews, team gatherings and meetings with key officials, while allowing a broader membership group to participate.
Please register for Farm to Plate 2021 to ensure the voice of the fresh produce industry is heard, and that fresh produce issues are understood and acted upon. Registration closes on May 26, 2021.
AAFC launches Agricultural Climate Solutions program
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has announced the launch of Agricultural Climate Solutions (ACS), a $185 million, 10-year program aimed at helping develop and implement farming practices to tackle climate change.
ACS will develop regional collaboration hubs on farms, known as “Living Labs”, with the intention that farmers and farm groups will be at the center of decision making, innovation and on-farm activities at each hub. Learn more about the Agricultural Climate Solutions program.
