We strive to make Produce Inventory Control System (PICS) software better… continuously. If you’re in the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, you know how important it is to keep things “fresh”. Here are a few of the improvements we made to PICS during the month of March.
- We have added a new System Control where you can hide or show (default is show) the price and extension on Sales Orders. This could be used to hide pricing information if you allow warehouse staff into the Sales Order Screen to perform shipping activities, and do not want them to see the monetary information.
- Added code to fill the sort order field with the GL Account number if the sort field is left blank when you save.
- Adjusted the layout of the customer screen so as to move most of the pricing info into the window which comes forward when you click pricing. The additional space we gained by doing this allowed us to add buttons to the screen for printing and sending via EmFx statements and/or price lists.
- Made the AP Cheque Reconciliation screen deeper, to allow more rows to be shown.
- In the Stock Items screen, we added Pack Date to the info shown for each lot in the lot list at the bottom.
- Added link buttons for Lot # and Stock # to the PO / Receiving Screen.
- Added link button for Original Order # to the Sales Order Screen.
