Software for the Fresh Produce Industry – PICS Does It All!

February 6, 2024

PICS software has everything you need to get growing! Our award winning Produce Inventory Control System (PICS) software is a comprehensive package that grows alongside your fresh produce business. It’s flexible, affordable, and our talented Support Team provides as much or as little training and troubleshooting as you need.

Say goodbye to two software packages (one for accounting and one for traceability), PICS is a complete solution designed so other PICS components (modules) can be added as you grow.

Updates to PICS Fresh Produce Software for Accounting and Traceability

  • Adjusted the Key Un-Scanned screen in the Inventory Count process to include the quantity already in stock when adding records to the count file.
  • In PICS 3.0 in the sales order screen we added fields in the bottom right corner for date/time pick slip was printed.
  • We have rewritten the Alternate units screen in PICS 2.5 so it is more intuitive to use. We will be doing the same for the one in PICS 3.0 shortly.
  • Reworked the validation in Purchase Order Receiving in PICS 3.0 so adding and removing receiving lines work properly, and factor in qty available.
  • We added the ability to choose which product categories will be included in the count file when generating. The default is all, so it works the same as before unless a user decides to choose a sub-set
  • We have added a new Inventory/Limit Count Sheet To Generated Records system control. If this is set to Y (default is N), when the Count Sheets for an Inventory are printed, they will only include items in the generated count file. Otherwise they will include all active stock items. This was added so that those customers who want to use the new Category Selection when they generate the count file can have the Count Sheets include only the items they generated.
  • In PICS 3.0 we have added a $ total column to the PO List

Our web-based version of PICS allows core modules to be accessed over the internet or intranet. Ready to learn more? Request a free demo of PICS today!
