‘Tis the season to celebrate all the enhancements we made to our Produce Inventory Control System (PICS) software last month. From Import Attachments to System Controls, your PICS software gets better every day!
November’s PICS Software Updates
• We have enhanced the Import Attachments program such that you can use suffixes on the file names which are set up in the attachment import table to allow it to run selectively for each type. For example, for Sales Orders, you might want to import BOL’s, Picking Slips and Signature copies. Let’s say that your sales order # is 1234. And let’s say that you used the suffixes B for BOLs, P for Picking slips and S for Signature copies. If you put scanned files with the names 1234b.pdf, 1234p.pdf and 1234s.pdf into the “inbox”, you can run the import 3 times, once for each type and it will attach these 3 files to the sales order once per type. Please let us know if you have any questions.
• We have added a new Selling/Send Invoices Via EmFx system control which, when set to Y, will allow invoices to be sent via EmFx during the Sales Order Batch update. If contacts flagged to be sent invoices are set up for the invoices produced by the update, they will be sent the invoices. If there are any customers in the batch which do not have contacts flagged to be sent invoices, a list of them will be sent at the end of the update.
