The 5th Annual WaudWare Invitational Golf Tournament took place on Thursday, August 2nd 2012 at the scenic Peel Village Golf Club – and what an event it was! Here are just a few of the highlights:
1. The event was SOLD OUT! We are indeed grateful that so many golfers and duffers alike came out to support our cause, the Brampton and Area Community Foundation. Thank you!
2. During a week when record temperatures were being set and rain was constantly foretold, Mother Nature smiled upon us. It was a great day for golf – and the putting shootout!
3. Our Vezina Trophy sponsors, hole sponsors, prize sponsors AND volunteers were once again, extremely generous with their resources. We are fortunate to work with such dedicated professionals.
4. The food (thanks Jake’s Boathouse), the frivolity, the fun! Really, how serious can a golf tournament be that’s organized by a bunch of hockey nuts?
