CPMA Recommendations to Finance Canada for Fall 2025 Federal Budget

Following up on a submission to the House of Commons Finance Committee, CPMA submitted comments to the Department of Finance Canada consultation in advance of the Fall 2025 Federal Budget, which will be tabled in early November.

CPMA’s submission made 22 recommendations for the Fall 2025 Federal Budget, across key policy areas including: prioritizing access to food and food production, enabling trade opportunities for Canadian produce, fueling a competitive and resilient produce supply chain, increasing produce consumption for healthier communities, workforce, sustainability and regulatory modernization and enhancing competitiveness. This submission also included a recommendation for funding to support infrastructure improvements at the Ontario Food Terminal, which came directly out of conversations had during our Toronto Meet and Greet with Parliamentarians.
