Here are the updates we made to PICS last month:
- We added a DUNS # field to the warehouse table and screen. This is needed for sending EDI (electronic data interchange) documents.
- We added another Lot Allocation routine. It is called XFIFOLO6. This routine searches for lots with enough quantity to fulfil quantity ordered, but ignoring lots with fractional quantities. For example, if the sales order line is for 2.0, and there is a lot with 1.5 in stock, that lot will be used, but the qty allocated will be 1.0. Another example would be where there are 2 lots with a qty of 1.5. Both will be allocated, but for a qty of 1.0 each. If no qualifying lots are found, nothing is allocated.
