Powerful and easy to use, Produce Inventory Control System (PICS) software is designed for growers, wholesalers, distributors, shippers, packers, and anyone involved in fresh food. PICS effortlessly handles everything your fresh produce business can throw at it, like buying, selling, inventory, accounting, and production. You don’t need two software packages (one for accounting and one for traceability), you simply need PICS. Customizable and easy to use, PICS grows with your business.
PICS Traceability
One of the great new features in PICS 3.0 is the traceability graph. It allows users to follow a received lot through to sale, including repacks, work orders (packing) and adjustments.
The example shown here would be for a company which makes Fruit Salad. It shows some cases of cantaloupes being received on the left (green hexagon), then some of them are repacked (cyan diamond) and sold (blue rectangle), and the rest being cut up into chunks and waste (skins and centers) (2 yellow ovals). The chunks are then combined with other items to make 2 sizes of Fruit Salad (yellow ovals) and then those are sold (blue rectangles). The skins are thrown out (pink circle).
How We Make PICS Easy to Use
- The cost (on all shapes) and price (on sales orders) is shown if the user has the rights to see cost and/or price.
- If your organization doesn’t do repacking or work orders, the graph would show the receipt, sales and any stock adjustments which were made.
- This graph can be run from the stock lots screen in PICS 3.0. The button is on the right, about ½ way down.
