PICS Enhancements for April 2015.
Our continued commitment to providing the best software solution for the produce industry is illustrated with the productivity improvements we made during April. How often is your software solution for inventory, accounting, and traceability upgraded? If you can’t say “all the time” you’re not using PICS by WaudWare. We have:
- Added a new Problem Purchase Orders with line notes report to PRE. This report will list any Purchase Orders where the problem flag has been checked, all the lines on those Purchase Orders and any line notes for those lines.
- Added the ability to change a Regular Lot controlled Stock Item to a Static Lot Item. There is an “Allow Stock Items to be Changed From Regular To Static Lot” system control which needs to be enabled for this to be available. It can only be done with no other users in PICS. It consolidates everything for every lot for the stock item into the most recent lot for the item. It would not be something that is used frequently … it is intended for changing the system if you have set up an item incorrectly, or decide that you not longer want traceability information for an item. To use it, after enabling it via the system control, edit the stock item, change the R to an S, review and answer the warning and then proceed. If the items has had a lot of transactions, it could take up to several minutes.
- Added an error message to the Close Work Order screen such that if you try to close a work order which has work order errors, it will tell you that the work order cannot be closed.
- Enhanced the stock category screen such that you can edit the category description.
- Enhanced the GL History report to show the vendor name when you expand the cheque journal details.
- Enhanced the system such that the number of periods in a year can be between 1 and 13. Previously it was either 12 or 13. This was done to accommodate the situation where a fiscal year end is changed.
- Fixed a bug where the stock labels screen was enabled in Add and Edit mode of the Sales Order Shipping Screen. It is now only enabled in View Mode (as it should be).
